Summary:

Their primary role is reconciling and balancing the hotel's financial records, including guest accounts, cash transactions, and credit card charges.
The front desk auditor is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions during the overnight shift at a hotel.
They are responsible for maintaining the financial records, reconciling accounts, and serving as the lead on-site personnel responsible for financial oversite and accounting support.

Auditing:
The auditor performs various accounting and auditing tasks, including reconciling accounts, balancing the books, and preparing financial reports.
Billing:
The auditor will be responsible for coordinating with the events team to ensure that events are properly closed, reconciled, and billed accurately and timely Reporting:
The auditor prepares daily revenue reports, posts transactions to the appropriate accounts, and generates reports for the management team.
Communication:
The auditor communicates with other departments within the hotel, including housekeeping, maintenance, and the restaurant, to ensure all operations run smoothly.
System Maintenance:
The auditor is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the hotel's computer systems, including the property management system, point-of-sale systems, and other financial software.
Training:
The auditor trains new staff members in the hotel's financial and accounting systems.
The auditor is responsible for maintaining, updating, and implementing training protocols for the hotel's computer systems and is the lead on-site personnel responsible for system maintenance, outages, and general troubleshooting, including team computers.
Cash Handling:
The auditor manages and reconciles all cash transactions, including handling guest payments, processing credit card transactions, and making bank deposits.
Back Office Support:
The auditor will be responsible for gathering, organizing, and processing back-office communications, invoices, manual checks, and other onsite reporting and liaising between the property and the corporate office.
Preferred Education and
Experience:
High School or equivalent; additional education in accounting or hospitality is a plus Previous experience in a similar role, preferably an accountant, bookkeeper, auditor, or in a hotel front office operations Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of hotel management systems and accounting software Strong mathematical and analytical skills for accurate financial calculations and record keeping Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Availability to work weekends and holidays, as required Integrity and trustworthiness in handling financial transactions and guest information Job Type:
